Right on the Appia Antica next to Cecilia Metella this osteria is placed in the history and offers you a simple but delicious menu with grilled meat as a star. The restaurant is simple but cosy and people are friendly. A nice external terrace is available.

On the Appia Antica, a rustic sort of place where I attended a wine tasting and dinner buffet event. They had grilled steaks and potatoes, hand-sliced prosciutto, scamorza, frittata, cheeses and other delights to accompany the wines. Family atmosphere, friendly staff, everything super tasty. Recommended.

Lovely setting on the Appia Antica. The staff are all very friendly and can explain the menu well. The home made sausages were spectacular. Would definitely go back.

This lovely restaurant has an outdoor dining space hidden from the traffic on the Appia Antica. The food and service are wonderful. We enjoyed several hours there eating and talking with friends. We weren't rushed and enjoyed a lovely Sunday afternoon meal there.

We've been here while walking along the Via Appia Antica. I'll start with the nice things: The terrace on which we sat was quite nice and the place really looks nice and down-to-earth.

However, the staff was really ignorant and unfriendly towards us. The pasta (each 10–12 € for non-fancy basic pasta dishes) we ordered was very undercooked. And trust me, I had lots of superb Italian pasta, I know what al dente means. My Amatriciana sauce tasted boring like putting a can of tomatoes and a pack of bacon into a pot and heating it up.

We had much better food with friendlier service for less in Rome.
