Here's a true jewel if you want to eat great Italian food at moderate price (approximately 25 euros), just a few minutes walk from Fontana di Trevi. The owners Eugenio and Rosalba are friendly, kind and attentive to all your needs. Just relax in this 60s 70s styled restaurant. Its slightly worn out atmosphere will take you back into La dolce vita times of how Rome was then.
I ate their fabulous La caponata and Pasta alla norma (Pasta with egg plants) and steak with green pepper sauce, accompanied by a red wine from Argentario area just north west of Rome. Try it and you will come back for more.
