Dear Ie0206,

Thank you for reviewing us!

I'm glad you had a nice stay in our boutique Hotel.

Our position in the hearth of Rome 10 minutes walking from the Colosseum and 10 minutes walking from Termini Station allow you to visit all the main attractions and even visit for one day cities like Florence or Naples.

We hope to see you again!

Regards

We were only in Rome for one night, as we arrived by train one day and flew home the next. My main concern was being close to the Termini station, since we planned to take the Leonardo Express train to the airport. The location of the hotel was great. A short walk from the station, but towards the historic heart of Rome. It is just outside the mayhem that surrounds the central station. Our room was very comfortable and not as small as I feared. The décor was traditional, with a gold-and-navy blue color scheme. There was a ceiling fresco that copied the Creation scene from the Sistine Chapel! We were on the fourth floor, just outside the elevator. I am a light sleeper, but the elevator was so quiet, I was not disturbed at all. Our room did not have a view or a balcony, but those rooms can be noisy, so I was happy with a nice quiet room. We enjoyed the breakfast in the pleasant breakfast room. I told the gentleman who checked us in that we had just come from the Amalfi coast and liked the name of the hotel, and he told us the story of how he had come up with the name. I also liked that it was near the Santa Maria Maggiore church. I had just read a biography of Queen Isabella, who reportedly provided the gold for the ceiling from the first shipment of gold back from the New World. How cool is that? There are also several other churches nearby. We were walking towards the center, looked left to cross the street, and there was the Coliseum. I hadn't realized that it was quite that close. It is a short walk to the train station and the Termini stop on the metro, and a somewhat longer but manageable walk to the Pantheon and the Piazza Navona. Very convenient. They stored our luggage in a locked room in the morning, and we picked it up a few hours later with no problems or delays. Thanks to everyone at the hotel for a great, if brief, stay. If I ever return to Rome, I intend to stay here again, and I promise to stay longer!

Dear JonesieLinthicum,

Thank you for writing such a positive review!

We're glad you appreciated our location in front of S.Mary Church.

Our Hotel is located in an historical building that's why many rooms have frescoes on ceilings designed by artists over time.

Our breakfast is served everyday from 7:30 to 9:30 and is always included booking directly on our website!

We hope to see you again in the future for a longer time!

Amalfi is a small hotel that is easy to walk right past. But it's in a great location close to the train station and a block down the street from Piazza Santa Maria Maggiore. The rooms were small and nothing great, but nice enough and seemed clean. The staff was very nice and friendly and very willing to help. I'd stay there again.

Dear SMG4037,

Thank you for reviewing us!

The Hotel Amalfi is a small Hotel located in a historical building that's why our rooms are not very large.

In case you need more space i always suggest to book a triple room.

Visiting our official website is the best way to choose the perfect room for your stay, there are photos and sizes of all rooms!

We stay at many Hotels around the world most have rooms larger than Amalfi. What it makes up for in size is SERVICE. What is more important? size or service?
Our family from the UK stayed in a nearby Hotel and they all regretted not staying at the Amalfi. In fact it was the Amalfi that took their luggage in when they HAD to leave their Hotel at 11 AM.
You get used to a smallish room but NEVER bad service. Thank you Amalfi for the great 5 star service. Thanks for the bottle of wine (even though we had no bottle opener). Thanks for the outstanding breakfasts and clean room.
We would stay there again without hesitation small or not.
Centrally placed near amenities.
Thanks for making our stay great.

I will gladly stay in this hotel again. The price was right. The locations was very good. The stuff was very helpful and friendly. Close to the main train station. Shopping all around the hotel. The only thing would change is the size of the beds. (very small)

DearSamuel B,

Thank you for writing us!

Our location near the Station and the Colosseum, with shops and restaurants all around is very important for us!

Just for example few minutes walking from the Hotel Amalfi you can find the famous Trattoria Vecchia Roma where you can try the traditional Amatricina Flambè!

Please next time write us before and we will try to find the best room for your stay.

You can see all photos on our website!

See you soon!
