This is a hamburger joint that serves meat, turkey, pork, and veggie burgers exclusively. Apparently the restaurant that existed before was fast fried foods place but again, this place ONLY SERVES DELICIOUS BURGERS, not even fries. That being said, they are fresh and use only the best products from small farms and are cooked right in front of you. They also caramelize their onions perfectly, and are very inexpensive. Don't miss out.

My husband and I were only in Rome for a night and happened upon this place as we strolled out around from where we were staying. WE had a great time. The dinner offer was a great deal -appetizer, entree, and pasta and dessert and wine for a set price. They even made adjustments for me to the menu since I wasn't sure of trying mussels and served me octopus instead -but then gave us a double portion of mussels anyway (which WERE delicious in the end) so very generous. Flavours were simple but good, food was quality and fresh. Wine pairing was great. Server spoke English well, was friendly, albeit a little persistent in trying to sell additional items. We sat outside on a typical humid late-summer Rome night and savoured the experience. Definitely recommend!

Nice people, very helpful and kind. Unfortunately food is pretty heavy and to eat it there are only sticks. .no fork at all!

The old Cartoccio is back and batter than ever! Apart from fabulous fried snacks (their specialty), this time they also serve cold cuts and cheeses and offer as much as salads. The kitchen is on display so you basically watch beautiful fresh pumpkin flowers become a Roman style fire di zucca. The wine list is longer, the venue is spacious and offers a relaxing environment matched by cordiality of the owners. Genuine and highly recommended.

This adorable fried food shop was perfect as we were walking around Navona. We munched on calamari, artichoke, and olives (and enjoyed two Peronis) before continuing to explore Rome.
