This is a beautiful restaurant with good service. We went for the 10 course menu. Food was innovative Italian and the presentation was sophisticated. Unfortunately the taste for most dishes was underwhelming. We did not like the dessert at all and they offered to replace it with another one. The problem with the food was that everything was in room temperature, warm at most...nothing was hot or cold. It was unsatisfying and quite boring. They deserved the Michelin Star for the creative concept, beautiful plating, great ambience and attentive service. However, I doubt that they will be awarded another star if what we had was already the best that the Chef could offer.

We have been in many Michelin restaurants and this experience was one of the best. We ate the six course tasting menu and really enjoyed every single dish made with creativity and respecting italian culinary tradition. Highly recommend!

Simply amazing dining experience

Having eaten many Michelin star restaurants this was on a another level, I had the pleasure of dining at a similar molecular gastronomy place in Singapore called Andre and that was the best dining experience bar none and this is a close 2nd.

We opted for a tasting menu and others have said you get about 8 to 9 courses rather than the 6 stated. The highlight for me was the risotto which was unbelievable and the Carbonara Egg both of which were some of the best dishes tasted. The Lamb was also excellent with an amazing Mole sauce to accompany it. The dessert which was chocolate ball was also superb, in fact I cannot fault a single dish.

Don't get me wrong this is not a restaurant you can pop into for a quick meal and its very expensive but as a one off experience that you will remember for a very long time its worth it as the four hours was food heaven.

Back in Rome and we had a tip to visit Metamorfosi, so we did. This is a smaller cosy Michelin restaurant in the outskirts of Rome, though walking distance for us.

We chose the appetizer, glass of champagne and 3 “snacks”, and already here we noticed that they are cheap on the wine, but nevertheless.

We took the 6 courses and for sure this is super creative courses, we really liked the ‘wrap’ and the fake tomato’s done with pasta, the main course was a bit disappointing (2 small pieces of long cooked lamb under a piece of salat with herbs)....

The biggest disappointment was that even so we went with the wine menu for the 6 courses not once did they tip it or refilled.

Gent’s 25€ for a glass of champagne and 3 petit snacks (I.e one being 1 quarter of a radish), and you do not even tip up or refill the champagne seems cheap also wine menu for 65€ (4 glasses) and not even one tip up or refill... the prices are per person, we had to hear more than one table complaining as they had the 6 glasses for 10 courses main tasting menu

We will not be back unfortunately

We had a good dinner here. We opted for the tasting menu along with wine pairing. They did a good job with the food and the pairing.

Out of 6 courses, 4 were amazing and 2 were quite average. Hence the good not great comment.

What was bad for me was the fact that they messed up the wagyu beef. It was really badly done. Hence, a disappointing last course.
