Owner description: Located in the heart of Rome, this vibrant and elegant square is surrounded by 18th-century buildings augmented by the colorful flowers that adorn the Spanish Steps. The elegant steps by Francesco de Sanctis (1723-1726) consist of twelve flights of varying width, which descend to the scenic Franciscan Church of Trinita dei Monti.

Very packed and they are just old steps. The history is cool but it is nothing to special in a pleasing build and the Catholics made sure to build a church on top of them.

Though everyone tends to go there we found it not to be very special. The only “special” part is the view from the top of the stairs. If you come down from the base you will see a big staircase loaded with people sitting on ii. You must cruise trough the crowd to get to the top. There the view is nice. An that’s about it. Sure, if you’re in the neighborhood drop by and see it. But don’t make a fuss if you don’t, there a other far more beautiful things to see in Rome

The iconic area of rome is very quiant, and not to much of a walk from the other "iconic" areas of rome. My only ocncnern was personal safety as we did see people who must have been 'pick pocketed' as they were telling everyone to be careful of thier property.

It is one on my favorite places in Rome. The view from the Church of Trinidad del Monte is beautiful. If you happen to be there during sunset, you will get an amazing view of Rome. The Church itself is beautiful and mass (in french) is very comforting
