We turned the corner from Sal. Crescenzi and...wow. The front view took our breath away. You do not appreciate the architecture of the dome until you see it from inside. We spent less than an hour there but worth every minute.

Everything you think it should be - the outer is ancient and amazingly presented in a stunning square, and the inside is beautifully arranged in a catholic fashion. Worth the free entry
Rome is filled with amazing monuments, Arts & Architecture ....as part of that Pantheon is one of the iconic to see.
Gigantic Pillars supported sloped roof & Dome ...Beautiful Architecture.
And more over street Musicians made us more joy !....it is recommended to have Walk on rome ...to enjoy Lot...!
The pantheon is a very old catholic church in Rome, as well as many of the roman structures where converted into catholic churches and temples.
The most interesting at this church is the oculus at the top, it is totally open , when rains the church has some many wholes on the floor to drain the water.
Wasn't sure if I needed to see this. Glad I stopped. The interior is magnificent! This structure welcomes thousands of visitors daily.
A simply amazing building, both inside and outside. My favourite building in Rome (which says a lot!). The main pillars were transported, each as one piece of marble, from various regions in the Roman Empire. They are still dazzling people after 2,000 years. Inside the ceiling with the hole is impressive as are the various monuments. Simply a must -see.
