Stumbled upon this as we walked from the Coliseum to Santa Maria Maggiore on Via Urbana...it was lunchtime and the place was crowded with business people ( a very good sign) split a mozzarella and prosciutto app and then tried a pasta with anchovy and breadcrumb - superb. Would love to do dinner here if we were staying longer,

I would go here again every time that I visit Rome. It is excellent food. It was early on a Saturday evening when the skies opened and thunder and lightning accompanied a torrential downpour of rain. My party of four ran for the first restaurant that we could see and it was here. As we huddled in the entrance out of the rain the initial response to the modern and minimalist decor was disappointing, but they had a table and we were glad of the shelter. We discovered later that they were fully booked apart from the last table that we took. The menu was not crammed full with the usual full selection of hundreds of dishes but had a few rather unusual selections for each course. The dishes were unusual and we all tried something different. All the food was amazing and delicious. We drank Vina di cash and the total bill came to under 35 euro a head. The service was friendly and professional and it was a great evening. The rain even stopped as we left!

We ate here on our last night in Rome. The food was superb. The restaurant is modern with a nice open feel and good atmosphere. The menu was varied and the staff helpful. I could not find anything to fault.

We were only in Rome for a weekend before flying out Monday, but we did eat at several restaurants around and behind the Hotel Monti Palace whose concierge recommended Sciue Sciue.
This restaurant offered easily the best atmosphere, service, and food during our time in Rome. The vibe was mellow with an elegantly casual appeal. An ideal place for couples up to a small group of maybe 6 max. Service was subtle: Efficient and friendly but otherwise unnoticeable. We had the bruschetta and calamari for appetizers and, after a few glasses of Chianti, I'm pretty sure we had two pasta main courses, my wife's with shrimp, and she finished off with the tiramisu. Everything was very, very good and it was very easy just to relax and enjoy the ambiance. For such an evening, the price was imminently reasonable. It was a truly memorable dinner for our first night in Rome and one of the best of our trip.

Wonderful food! Booking is recommended!.
They only really have limited drinks, wine, beer and soft drinks!.
I would recommend that they extend their options on drinks to spirits/cocktails as some people do not like Wine!.
