Laura is your host at Cucina Verde Bottiglia and she's great. Her husband Franco is the chef. Laura is so welcoming and helpful and she's originally from Ireland so she speaks English. The atmosphere there is very relaxed and it's like eating with the family. The food is well-prepared and tasty. My friends and I go there often for a long, Italian Sunday lunch (of three hours!). Prices are extremely reasonable. Heaps of locals eating there means Laura and Franco definitelty have a "thumbs up." Try it, you won't be disappointed.

My AirBnB is in San Lorenzo and my host said I should go here. The owner is Irish, "she speaks English" and the food is very good and affordable. I am only sorry I waited so long to go! The vegetable pastas are only made with seasonal items so I had the artichoke, per her recommendation - really good. Almost forgot, they started with a lentil soup which I think maybe is part of the service with the bread. The bread was so good I ate too much! Then I had chicken and peppers. I like this dish but she did offer it to be made with other vegetables. Chicken was tender and flavorful. I noticed a lot of people with plates of spinach and felt like they knew something I didn't. I had the house wine which was fine but other tables, even one guy eating alone, order bottles, so my guess is she sells wine at a reasonable price. Even though Laura was the only one waiting tables, she managed to keep every table and everything moving rather nicely. If you are in the area, you should definitely check this place out. The atmosphere is casual and the prices very affordable.
