Situated just 20 yards away from Porta Furba Metro Station, the outside does not look the most welcoming, however the food inside is top quality. Our group of four had two plates of the chef's mixed starters - the steak tartare and the mini hamburger were the best parts. Two of us had the house speciality "Baffolona" steak, which was very good, and the other two had the Fiorentina T-Bone, which both also loved. One of our group attempted the full 1kg steak, which was over 2" high. Most steaks served at 500gms, although we all opted for a 700 cut as were all hungry.
Steaks are served less well cooked than British descriptions - my medium would be a rare at home - rare would be 'blue' - so bear in mind. They come with roasted potatoes (nice) and chicory garnish (why?) on a hot rock, so they will continue to cook from their "underdone" status, which is probably the idea.
The house red was mild, fruity and very drinkable. No room for dessert. Good service and English menus if required. Can heartily recommend.
