Perfect sourcing makes for amazing dishes. The fish and pasta were superlative. Creative preparations without losing any of the classic Italian authenticity. Highly recommended. A nice treat after churches and temples and ruins..Oh My!

Had lunch with family here today. It was an amazing experience, with new taste sensations of the fish variety. I won’t go into detail of our menu because it changes daily according to availability of fish and produce. Just ask the waiter to bring what the chef suggests it will not disappoint you. Fresh crab tanks are amazing. The wines are a wonderful accompaniment to the food. It is a little pricey but very well worth it but remember to book if you are going for dinner.

Let’s get the elephant out of the room: this place is (very) expensive; we had a 280€ bill yesterday for a couple’s dinner. Now, on the other side: the fish is super fresh, quality is always very high and it’s situated just a stone throw from the Colosseo and one of the most beautiful, famous and important archaeological sites of the whole globe: the Foro Romano.
We went for the usual (for me) antipasti crudi e cotti, tasting a broad range of seafood, had scampi and gamberoni alla catalana (lovely) and a nice cheesecake with a Bellavista Rosé.
So am I happy? The food was exceptional.
So... am I happy?!? You get to pay more for the location than for the actual food... Rome is at 20 min drive from the sea and you can have many restaurants serving super fresh fish at two thirds of the price.
So, yes, it is a tad too expensive, although the service is very good and very attentive... to hasty though.
Never been? A must.

Deliriously tired after a long day of touring the city, my friend and I came upon Il Tempio Di Iside without a reservation and 2 hours before it even opened. A friendly waiter, Luca, happened to be at the door and helped us make a reservation as well as walked us down the street to their sister cafe where we could have cocktails, small bites and rest for a bit til the restaurant opens. We were there when the restaurant opened which is early for dinner in Italy, but, our waiter took great care of us. He listened carefully to what we were in the mood for and made thoughtful recommendations. Very professional. The food was gorgeous, fresh and delicious. All in all our experience with this restaurant ended up being about 6 hours and we loved every minute of it. Thanks for a great and delicious experience!
