We had lunch at Dodo today (Pasquetta or Easter Monday). After a long morning on foot we randomly picked Dodo as we walked down the street. The service was friendly, quick and attentive. It was very busy inside which was fine for us as we sat outside with a wonderful view of the Colosseum from our table.
The food was typical Roman fare. It is simple food and it was done very well. Tasty, well seasoned, authentic. A really enjoyable meal and very good value. This is what dining in Rome is about. Chance upon a street side restaurant and roll the dice. In this case we won, and the prize was a wonderfully authentic, tasty meal.
