I just spent a week here and loved it, and I've been here twice before. If you are looking for peace and quiet this is the place. The collection of charming houses is surrounded by trees and flowers. You can walk down to the sea to swim (it's not a sandy beach but rocky), and early in the morning you may be the only one there. The breakfast buffet includes amazing homemade cakes and jams, but the rooms are equipped with kitchens so you can also cook for yourself. The family that runs the place is warm, helpful, and caring. It is a bit of a walk to the port or to other parts of the island, but it is a lovely walk. You don't have air conditioning or a TV (although a TV has appeared in the breakfast area for important events such as soccer games), but you have WiFi.

Room Tip: Some rooms have views of the sea, and you can hear the waves.

A very quiet shelter among lemontrees, flowers, birdsong and green, green grass-- maybe ten little white houses, only a private path & some 50 steps away from the (wavy&rocky) sea. If you like a sandy beach it's a 30 minute walk. If you like snorkling between rocks in a now deep, now more shallow bit of wild sea it's three minutes.
Gianni the owner lives on the terrain, he is very friendly, speaks pretty good English and mostly leaves you at peace, although he may organize an occasional big dinner or a tour by boat. He used to run a diving school, but now only organizes trips when he's up to it (or on request).
The house we had was spacious & beautiful, but (unsurprising, end of july) very hot. After we asked, Gianni brought us some fans, making it much better. The interior & supplies are basic but sufficient; it has a nice little terrace where you can dine. I did remove the bedcovers as they were smelling mouldy (we had perfectlyclean sheets) as well as the odd smelling mattress from the spare bed. After that the children's bedroom still smells somewhat strange, I suspect it' the other mattress. With the fan & having put some bushes of lavender and lemonpeel from the garden it is bearable, doesn't bother our kid. There are a few donkeys in their own yard and a number of cats around, and a lot of stinging flies (not nice! --only thing we knew to do against those was to constantly stay in the wind of the fans).
There is a central terrace with a small tv (the olympics are on), where people bring their own drinks. Close to the terrace there is free wifi-- the people with laptops, tablets and phones gather around there. The atmosphere is overall very relaxed.
