We had an excellent stay in Vincenzo's rental in Naples. The appartment is perfectly located in a typical Napolitan district with an easy access to the city main touristic locations. Vincenzo has been a very friendly host .

We arrived at Naples airport in the evening where the apartment owner, Vincenzo, and his wife met us and brought us to the apartment in the Sanita section of Naples. On the way and once we arrived, Vincenzo explained details of the area and the apartment. At first, I must admit to some hesitancy about the location. Sanita is "real" Naples, and it's people "real" Neapolitans. The area has its own market open until evening, and the trash accumulAtes on the streets. Motorcycles and scooters whiz by you as you walk the streets.People tend to be somewhat brusque at first, but as with most, if you talk to them in a gentle manner, they respond in kind. It was not until later in our stay that we learned of some of the gems right in the neighborhood like the Catacombs of San Gennaro and San Gaudioso and the beautiful church of Santa Maria de Sanita. Vincenzo allways responded to our questions promptly, and, when ready to leave, he came from his own job to take us to the train station. The apartment worked out fine for us though a somewhat long walk.to the metro stations. All in all, we loved our time in Rione Sanita.
We stayed in the apartment for 3 nights whilst travelling trip in Italy. Naples was our first destination and the property owner picked us up from the airport and gave us a short tour of the city pointing out the metro stations which was very useful. There was also a lot of information in the apartment including maps, general information and activity suggestions which was helpful.
The apartment was very clean and everything was in good working order. The kitchen was well equipped, and clean towels were provided. We found the service very good and appreciated a few treats such as some baked goods and fruit juice that were waiting for us when we arrived. The property owner was very helpful and it felt like nothing was too much trouble if we'd needed any help with anything during our stay.
We enjoyed day trips to Sorrento, Capri and Pompei during our stay.
Really nice appartment, clean & well equipped. Good selection of shops, market all nearby.
Close to Metro but is also only half hour walk to main railway station.
Vincenzo the owner was very helpful, meeting us at the Metro, he gave us a guided tour of the area with plenty of suggestions where to eat & what to see.
We stayed here for five nights and the appartment met all our needs. There is a lounge/kitchen together with a bathroom on the first floor and two double bedrooms on the second floor. The appartment is very well equipped and the equipment was new. There were plenty of cooking utensils so self-catering was easy. The shower was a little small but there was a good supply of hot water. We didn't use the air conditioning but did put the heaters on in the early morning and they worked fine. There isn't much natural light but good artificial lighting. WiFi worked well. We occasionally heard the neighbours but it was generally quiet.
The appartment is in the lively and characterful Sanita district - what we were expecting Naples to be like (complete with scooters whizzing up and down the streets), though it was quiet at night. It's a short walk from Cavour Metro and from the National Archeological Museum and only slightly longer to the Centro Storico. We also did the walk uphill to Capodimonte which tested our fitness ! There's a cafe next door to the appartment building; a good local pizza restaurant at the bottom of the street (Pizzeria Oliva) and the excellent Paticceria Poppea is on the way to the Metro. Be aware you do have to climb some stairs to get to the appartment.
Vincenzo met us at Cavour and took us to the appartment. He was very helpful and informative and there is an excellent set of written material about Naples and Campania in the appartment itself. He came to collect the key exactly when he said he would and there were no problems about the return of our deposit. He also responded quickly to our booking enquiries.
At the price you obviously wouldn't expect a luxury appartment and the Sanita is not the Vomero or Chiaia. But it provides a great base for exploring Naples and was really good value. We would certainly rent it again.
