This place is unlike anything I've ever seen before. I'm not sure what I was expecting but I was still surprised by this underground cemetery which is well worth visiting. It's a bit creepy though so not for the faint hearted.

It’s a very special experience. Apparently millions of bodies have been left here over time expecially in the 1600 during the plague. The entrance is free. There is a very helful guard who tells you stories
about the site. It closes at 5pm

Full of bones and skulls but really BEAUTIFUL. This big cave is spacious and light and the bones are beautifully arranged. We went there by car so I don't know how easy it would be via public transport or on foot but I would still recommend it to anybody going to Naples

Definately a special place to visit in Naples. Be sure to read a bit about the ”Cult of the dead” before visiting, to get a deeper experience.

The cemetery is partly underground and it is very interesting. The bones were brought here from the nearby catacombs. The entry is free, but you can take a guide.

We went here on foot from the catacombs of St Gaudioso (15 mins). The way here was very interesting as there you could see some real Napoli (local shops, bars, balconies with drying laundry etc.).
