“Villino degli Aranci”

We spent 12 nights at Villino degli Aranci recently and thoroughly enjoyed it. We arrived from Naples on the Circumvesuviana train which stops at Sant Agnello on its way to Sorrento. On arrival we were promptly met by Angela and her friend who kindly drove us and our luggage to the villa. The Circumvesuviana is ifeal for trips to Sorrento Pompei or Herculaneum. It seems to be more regular and runs closer to its timetable than the buses which are infrequent and erratic. The villa is set in its own garden next to Angela's magnificent garden and house. It is very secluded but still only 100m from the pool. There is access to both Piave dei Pini and Via Cappucini from the house with the latter only 100m from the Moonlight restaurant which I could only describe as excellent. Moonlight is the best restaurant in Sant Agnello in my estimation. The villa is within a 5 minute walk from the Minarella beach which is very nice with lift showers loungers and restaurant available once you have paid your admission. The villa is well equipped and has good air conditioning units in the 2 bedrooms. We would happily return to this beautifully kept villa and garden.
Grazie mille Angela!

“Cozy and inviting - lemon and orange trees”
Reviewed 20 June 2017 for a stay in June 2017

This home is located in Sant' agnello close to their center and walking distance to the bank, grocery stores, convenient stores, the train station. The bus stop is directly across the street which takes to the Marina Piccola to catch the boats to the different islands (Capri and/or Ischia) and other excursions. We were allowed to pick the oranges and lemons from the trees for our enjoyment. I made freshly squeezed orange juice every morning. Nothing better I say. The owner was very gracious and willing to help, she was patient with understanding my Italian.

This was ideal for us, just 5 mins to the clifftops and 5 mins to the railway station and shops. Such a wonderful setting in the garden and the owner was so friendly and welcoming. Enough space and equipment to cook or plenty of places to eat out within a short walk.

“Delightful!”

Superb location. Short walk to the centre with all shops and short walk to the sea with spectacular view. Public transport (10 mins by bus to centre of Sorrento) outside the gate. Train station is a short walk away.
A bright, sunny house with large rooms is in a small private grove of lemon & orange trees and flowers. Quite wonderful. We love the long glassed-in porch with the kitchen & dining area and the outside patio. Angela, our host, is wonderful too. She lives on the property and sees to our every need including fresh pastries each morning.
The house is well-equipped with everything we need for our 10-day stay. Wifi is dependable and easy to access.
Our welcome was warm and informative. It will be difficult to leave this delightful retreat at the end of our stay. Molte grazie, Angela.
