Indicative of the Falcomata initiative and contrasting with the surrounding area where decorum and privilege maybe lacking, this promenade may be compared to more attractive and prominent antagonists, topographically or otherwise. The arboreal element with the parade of the ficus | magnolia exemplary huge trees is a rare occurence.

A perfect walk through wonderful trees, tropical I suppose.. You can admire Sicily in the other part of the sea.. I personally suggest to visit this place around 7 or 8 pm.. It's amazing

The Reggio's Lungomare is a most beautiful walk you can have in Calabria's capital.
It's a long stretch along the Messina strait, and there are many benches along with terrific views of Sicily and Etna (if you're lucky, not cloudy or heat mist).
During the day it's very hot, but at night it becomes crowded with people taking an evening stroll.

Lovely walk on a large promenade, bicycles and runners are on a lower level... Birds to feed, restaurants on both sea level and city-side, statues and monuments to look at as well as people and every small friendly dog known to humans.--some are in strollers ( the dogs) ... Extremely clean, If you walk from the train station to the end and back makes a significant dent in a healthy 10,000 steps.... Did you know that Calabria has some of , if not THE cleanest air in Europe? Yes ,the nano particles are measured.... You can feel the clean air, enjoy the ocean breeze, and the sense of community of this Calabrian gem on the Lungomare.... We took the train in from Scilla primarily for this walk and the museum--time well spent--memorable, invigorating and depression lifting.....
