We found the apartment matched its description, it was large, recently renovated, and decorated in a calm, modern style. It was very well equipped with good crockery, cutlery and glasses, and some items of food and drink had thoughtfully been left in the fridge for us.
The position of the apartment was ideal, just across the square from El Corte Ingles department store, which had a high class supermarket in the basement and was open from 10 am till 10 pm (11 - 9 on Sunday), and also near Goya metro station.
Slight negatives - the bathrooms (both only shower rooms) were tiny, and we struggled for a day to operate the induction hob - instructions would certainly have helped!
Also, this apartment was obviously intended for the owner's use, and there was no tourist information of any sort, and it was just off our map!
In all, we (three mature ladies) had a super holiday in Madrid, and found this an excellent base in a very convenient place.
