If you enjoy classic paintings and don't mind lots of people then you will be ok visiting the Prado. If 3 digit Asian tour groups do get on your nerves at times then perhaps you might reconsider. Also please note that Picasso's Guernica is no longer housed at Prado, it is now at the Museo Nacional Centro de arte Reina Sofia. DO visit that museum, it is cool, large, less crowded and fantastic exhibits.

A wonderful experience in viewing lots of masters. Spend the day and absorb the incredible experience. It may be a once in a lifetime experience. Well worth the visit but book online to avoid 2 waits.

Not our preferred field, and we found the layout pretty bad. For us, the Prado is over-rated and cannot compare with the Thyssen. Know what you are going there for. And be aware that the queues can be half an hour long.

There's lots to see here so i would set aside lots of time to see the exhibitions and take your time. We got through it quiet quickly (an hour and half) as our young daughter didn't find it as interesting.

Thank Soyful A
