We stayed on the Sunborn 9th to 13th June. This was a nostalgia trip for us as I had served with the RAF 1970 to 1973 in Gibraltar. On arrival we were offered an upgrade for I believe £40 a night but as we only wanted the room to sleep in and breakfast abd tgen out all day, we declined. The staff were excellent 5*. We had room 231 on the same kevel as receptiin and it was lovely. King size bed not two singles which you usually get! A large shower room. My wife's only ussue was no door into the main toilet area! Breakfast was good with full hot or continental. My only issue was hunting down salt for the table there seemed to be a distinct lack of these.
As I said staff 5* when they heard it was our return to Gib after 45 years and were celebrating our 46th wedding anniversary a bottke of bubbly was delivered to the room.
We had a wonderful 5 days in Gibraltar and have fallen in love with the rock again and the Gibraltarians are so friendly as always. We are spoilt for when we go back as we wouldn't look further than the Sunborn.More
