My wife and I stayed here in the junior suite with amazing views of the cathedral. This hotel is operated by Marriott as part of their Autograph Collection of unique hotels. The customer service was excellent. This historic building was a convent that took in and cared for women before being remodeled as a hotel. The hotel is about a five minute walk back to the old quarter of Santiago and mostly down a quiet local street. The facilities in the hotel and our room were all modern and well appointed, we had no issues. It was nice hearing the cathedral bells from our room with the shutter open, but also perfectly quiet when closed. Also with the shutters closed it was very restful for sleeping in. The breakfast buffet offered as a Marriott/SPG member was very nice. We spent time in the lounge on a couple of occasions. It was a peaceful and relaxing retreat. We walked and explored SDC easily from this hotel and took a bus one day to Fisterra. We have stayed at the Parador in past visits to SDC and of course it is a classic but if you want a hotel somewhat removed from the hustle, bustle and noise of the cathedral square area then this would be a great option.

Stayed here with husband and two teenagers after finishing the Camino de Santiago. Having stayed exclusively in albergues for a month, this was impossibly luxurious to our pilgrim sensibilities. I liked that the hotel is housed in what was once a convent. Included breakfast varied and good. Desk staff extremely helpful. Excellent value.

This hotel ticked all the boxes. Quiet location , yet close to main town, 10 minute walk. Good efficient welcome, clean and comfortable rooms. Breakfast very good, staff welcoming and efficient, and English speaking. No parking problems. Apart from visiting the town, we found this to be an ideal location to explore this coastal area of Galicia.

A lovely hotel near the old town. The staff are welcoming with good English (if you need it). The rooms are generous and modern. The breakfast is also great with buffet and a la carte for eggs/o let's, etc.
Wines also good selection and reasonable.
The staff were fantastic about help to forward in some items left in room and sent them to us in Madrid. Very helpful!

This hotel left me with mixed feeling. Let me maybe start with the positive first: very nice building in a very nice and great neighborhood, 10min walk (uphill) to the old town, the staff was friendly and helpful, the room (as junior suite) was very nice with a view on the impressive cathedral of Santiago de Compostela. The fact that complementary parking is available is also great.
Now to what disappointed me: the wall of our room seemed to be paper thin or the neighbors above were trying to herd elephants. Furthermore, the bed is not the most comfortable I have experienced at a hotel of this category. Leading up to two rather bad night sleep for us. Maybe the other rooms are soundproofed better?
Furthermore, I would probably categorize this hotel as a 4 stars, rather then a 5 stars and got probably the 5 stars for the amenities (such as 24/7 room service, swimming pool, etc.).
