If you are goingo to Galicia, a very interesting place is A Corunha, known as "Finisterre", the end of the land, before America's discover. The location of this hotel is exactly where the old walls was in the ancient villa. Now a modern avenue is in the place. You can walk all around in a very nice promenade... The rooms are clean and the view is a quite nice urban vision of the downtown.

Room tip: Even the room in front of the street, the silence is quite ok

This hotel is nothing more than central, clean and good value for money. Clean white sheets and clean white towels. Clean bathroom and cheap toiletries. Nothing remarkable, although the room did smell a little of stale tobacco and the view from the window appeared to be of a slum next door. No exaggeration. Two lifts.

The reception area has a café area that is popular with locals in the mornings, as the hotel has a large school just opposite.

The man on reception in the evenings is friendly and helpful. The night porter is amazingly good humoured at 4 a.m. However, the lady on duty in the mornings is a study in perfunctory courtesy minimalism, or its complete absence. I had to sit and watch over a cup of coffee just to witness it. She´s a complete master of her art.

Stay elsewhere (and pay more) for more hotel comforts. Stay here if trysting or to save money.

Room tip: Try a room with a street view. The rear and side view is depressing.

This hotel is located right in the city center near all the restaurants for tapas. I paid 38€ for one night, which was a good value considering the location. The room was basic and clean, just what I needed.

The hotel is nicely situated in the centre and I found most things within walking distance. The staff was friendly but hardly spoke English. We parked in the parking garage in front of the hotel and got a discount on our parking stay (Paid €12 in stead of €29) At 2 am a garbage truck was emptying bins right below our window, so that was a rude awakening. The stay was very cheap but good for your money.
