For a very expensive luxury villa in the sought after town of Sitges we were very disappointed with this property. The villa itself is furnished to a high standard, but there were obviously some teething problems as we were one of the first to rent the villa. To give some examples, we would open a draws in the kitchen and the handles would fall off, the dishwasher trays were too small for the dishwasher so kept falling off the rails, we had 4 young children in total and there was exposed wiring outside. No air conditioning in the 3 downstairs bedrooms with only one bathroom to share downstairs. The BIGGEST issue with this villa is the noise. Located next to a high speed railway the trains would run throughout the night, we would be woken up by the bed shaking from the noise and vibrations from the passing trains. It meant for a particularly restless stay, especially with 2 young families in the villa. The pool was cleaned and the grass was cut on our last full day at the property, again we were expecting this to be done mid week - to not have the grass over grown and the pool dirty, instead we had two hours of grass cutting and strimming on top of the trains to endure while we tried to enjoy the last day of our holiday by the pool with our family. Half of the week Barcelona airport was operating on the easterly runway which meant the planes flew directly over...? You guessed it! To summarise, this villa is totally overpriced considering its proximity to the train line. It's nice to walk to the beach, but for the money we were expecting a great deal more.
