Food was ok, design pretty good, toilets great, staff lazy (like Manuel in Falty Towers) and Very arrogant little manager man with no respect for paying customers.

Boca Chica Very arrogant and bad treatment. We had booked a table for a whole evening 2 months in advance. But when we arrived, we were assigned a small corner table at the back of the room, where we had to sit partly with our...backs to the room. At the same time, there were other available and better placed tables, but we could not get them, as they were reserved for "special guests", we were told. So we were not special guests even though we had booked 2 months in advance and came directly from a dinner at their restaurant on the ground floor. So Boca Chica cannot be trusted. And they are also arrogant.More
Avoid at all costs. Terribly overpriced, very bland food. Don’t listen to the good reviews, waste of time and spoilt our night.
Total tourist trap. They try to pressure tourists into big tips but not locals. Very over priced food to the tune of still water for 8 euros. Bad experience
This restaurant is overrated me overpriced. Two of the dishes were disappointing. The costellitas de cabrito (goat ribs) had almost no meat and had a lot of breading. The sopa de pescado y marisco ( fish and seafood soup had almost no fish (two tiny...postage sized pieces) and almost no seafood. The “seafood” was 4 mussels (one of which was empty, and one head of a shrimp. When we pointed this out to the waiter, he spoke to the manager who didn't do anything to address the problem. There are much better places to eat in Barcelona.More
My recent visit to Boca Grande was marred by disappointing customer service. Despite our request, the waitress refused to move us from a table next to constantly moving materials, claiming all other tables were occupied. However, many remained vacant throughout our stay. The manager's impolite...demeanor further soured the experience. Until improvements are made in customer service and management, I cannot recommend Boca Grande. Continuously, negative reviews regarding arrogance in the service persist.More
This place where we had our last dinner of our Barcelona trip made the whole experience so special. We have requested to have Lobster pasta that was not on the menu but the waiter told us that he’ll make sure we’ll have our pasta of...a lifetime and so we did. The king crap as an appetizer was also something exceptional. The prices are relatively high compared to a regular sea food restaurant, but be assured, this is not a regular restaurant!More
We were looking for a cocktail bar to enjoy a few drinks. We come across Boca Chica and I am so pleased we did. Amazing design and cool deco welcomed us. The drink selection was great and the presentation amazing. The staff was very friendly...and welcoming! Would highly recommend it.More
This restaurant is actually good but super overpriced. Specially when they offer the fish out of menu. You will be in for a big surprise in your bill. Be careful and always ask for the price. The vibe is getting a bit different lately, older...people, new money with lack of taste …More
I have been visiting Boca Grande for many years and was always a big fan but recently both the service level and in particular the food quality deteriorated big time. We ordered Jamon. It came directly out of the fridge, not fresh, and even after...we complained, the waitress and the manager just ignored us and claimed it was fresh. Any packaged Jamon from Mercadona is better....and at a price of EUR 35 I would expect a delicious jamon. Also the other dishes we had were merely average. What was really high-end, was the price. Totally overpriced for what you get. There are better places in Barcelona.More
Had a dinner reservation for 9pm advising it was for my wife’s 40th birthday. Table wasn’t ready when we arrived so we were sent upstairs for a drink first which wasn’t an issue but after no information after 80mins, I went downstairs to enquire only...to be greeted with a cold face and a huff from the front desk lady, rather than a smile and a simple apology. We were also made to feel as though we were bothering the table staff who all seemed like they would rather be somewhere else. A shame really, as the atmosphere was otherwise good and the decor nice. The toilets downstairs became a nightclub which was just weirdMore
It is not a good place to eat. It is overpriced when considering the quality of food you eat. The fish and seafood soup almost did not have any of it. It is a good place if you are an instagrammer and need a good...photo.More
Good atmosphere. Tasty food. Restaurant was full so it seems it is popular. Waiters are ok - we have seen better but they are ok, it looks like they give their best but are a bit tired and unmitivated. Still - no critics overall. Upstairs...is a bar (but only for drinks - dont except to eat upstairs in a bar since this is almost impossible and very uncomfortable). The lady waiter in a bar upstairs was great, kind and helping. Must visit a rest room, very unusual and interesting design ..More
Dreadful in many ways ! Don’t go here, unless you want unfriendly arrogant staff who do not care you are a customer. At the entrance they do not greet you as guests at all, despite having a reservation. We set two minutes at our table...and they tell the kitchen closes in 20 mins. so we must order fast. Trying to push us to buy the king crab and gamba’s (who are the most expensive on the menu) before we even had a chance to look at the menu. Pouring us full glasses of white wine when we were still waiting for our cocktail drinks. A guy who supposed to be a sommelier not interested in us anymore when we did not order the expensive wines. Staff not paying attention to you as a customer at all, no smiles just very arrogant faces, pretending you are not there, looking away when answering, etc. And we spent about euro 500,— so a bit of attention would be nice… The sad thing is that the interior and the design of the place is very nice, and the food was not bad as well. It is the staff that ruïnes this place, and I think I saw a manager walking somewhere but he if he does not see what I saw and experienced, he is not the right person to run this place for sure… We will not go again. And by the way, do not order the Espresso Martini…they did not make us pay for this as they realized this is unacceptable…More
Hostess was rude right off the bat and it only got worse from there. We had to flag down someone to take our drinks orders and then to order food. My meal came, but not my partner’s… after finishing my meal between us, we asked...about the other and were told another 10 minutes. We paid and left.More
