Owner description: Barcelona City Tour is the 'Hop on & Hop off' service of this Spanish city. Our service offers you two routes to get to know and explore Barcelona from our bus but also letting you go on and off as many times as you wish to go all over the city on your own. Admire the architectural beauty of Sagrada Familia, a work by the great Antoni Gaudi and symbol of Barcelona; go for a walk at Park Guell that joins nature and designs; contemplate La Pedrera and la Casa Batllo, two Modernist jewels at Passeig de Gracia; go all over the labyrinthine streets of Barrio Gotico; fall in love with Montjuic Mountain and Palau Nacional, amongst others. Enjoy Barcelona with us!

We chose to use the bus on the worst weather day (just very windy). It was easy to buy a ticket (and we also brought our Nou Camp tickets from them), It is great that you can get on and off and also, switch between the east and the west tour at certain stops. We didn't use the earphones, we just used the map.

We booked the two day pass and made the most of hopping on and off.
The routes covered all of the main attractions and provided helpful information as we went around.
The slight downside was the Park Güell, the bus dropped us off several streets away and with no clear direction how to get to the main entrance. It was a hard/ steep walk to the entrance and some may struggle.
We booked the guided tour of Sagrada Família with the bus company and we would highly recommend it - our guide Angela was wonderful! Full of facts and able to answer all questions, her knowledge and passion really shone through.

I really do like City Sightseeing in lots of places. This however was pretty average. 60 euros for two of us for the day and the commentary was crackly and poor. Pretty dull.

Save your money and walk where you will see just as much

While it was cold to sit up top, it is the place to be.
This is a great thing to do on the first day as you can then plan the rest of your visit without wasting steps going back and forth.
If you only have a day or so, you will be able to see all you want as a tourist.
I recommend walking the streets in the days to follow to experience the city.
If you want get into any of the big attractions, ie Grata Familia, or La Pedrera you need to book in advance. The wait times can be 3 - 4 hours.
Still you get to see where they are and the outside.

We were unsure at first having read mixed reviews but with only one full day in the city we took the plunge - and were so pleased we did! Helpful staff and clear audio tour with headphones included made this a great way to see the city. We did hop off a couple of times, but found the audio tour information interesting enough to be engaged for long stretches at a time. Really glad we got to see some of the less obvious sights such as the old fishing “village” area, the Rotunda and the monumental bull ring. It is expensive and if I was with my whole family rather than just one friend I would have found the cost prohibitive, but it does offer value for money in terms of just how much you see for the price. Buses were frequent so although we had to queue these went down very quickly. Only uncomfortable moment was being approached by people begging while queueing at Placa Catalunya which was very sad and a little intimidating at times, but no fault of the tour company.
