Owner description: Park Guell is one of the masterpieces of the Catalan architect Antoni Gaudi, who projected it in 1900. Inaugurated as a public park in 1926, it was listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1984, reconizing its patrimonial and cultural value as a symbol of modern architecture, being one of the biggest exponents of Gaudi's modernism. This playful urban park, the work of architect Antoni Gaudi, features peaceful greens, winding paths and many sculptures and mosaics designed by Gaudi himself. We recommend the following options for ensuring that you arrive on time at the Park Guell Monument Precinct: - Metro (green line, get off at Lesseps or Vallcarca). When you leave the station, you’ll have a walk of about 20-25 minutes. - City bus (lines H6 and 32). When you get off the bus, you’ll have a walk of about 15 minutes. - City bus (lines 92 and 24). When you get off the bus, you’ll have a walk of about 5 minutes. - Barcelona City Tour and Bus Turistic. When you get off the bus, you’ll have a walk of about 10 minutes. - Taxi to Park Guell

Pre booking is essential otherwise you’re unlikely to get in. Although you have to choose a time slot, once inside you can stay as long as you like. There are queues to get in one of the buildings but everything else was readily accessible. Busy but not overly crowded- hence your allocated time of arrival.
Ladies toilet facilities were very poor on the day I was there...4 out of 6 toilets were out of order leaving just 2 plus a disabled one, needless to say there was the inevitable queue. Worth a visit and a lovely way to pass an hour or two wondering around and finding the unexpected. They are currently undertaking renovations to one area so this is closed off, however it didn’t spoil my visit. Access to the park from the bus stops is via a fairly long walk & involves a very steep hill.

Parc Guell was OK but we thought there would be more to see. The buildings in the beginning are very unique and we were disappointed there weren’t more like it.
