Nice, modern hotel, easy to walk to everything in Barcelona centre and restaurants nearby. Smal room. Unfortunaly we didn’t have a balcony or nice vieuw, only 2 windows with vieuw on a air shaft. that was a bit of a downer. Smal breakfast in a nearby coffeebar. Overall a good stay.

Excellent location. Extra thick windows, so very quiet even though it's on a busy street. Small room, but that's normal for Europe. Very big shower, toilet area and large bed for Europe. Clean. Very nice and helpful staff. Eat at Cervesería Catalana around the corner. Great restaurant.

The pros:
- The location is reasonable. It's in Eixample, near to some of the Gaudí architectural tourist sites on Passeig de Gracía. It's also situated right on a tourist hotspot (although, personal tip: wander half a block away from Las Ramblas and the food is better and less exorbitantly priced). It's a ten minute walk away from the Gothic Quarter, and about a twenty-five minute walk from La Sagrada Familia. Although, if you're coming in Summer the heat will be unbearable and you won't want to be walking much at all. Public transport is excellent - nearby is Diagonal, Placa de Catalunya and Passeig de Gracia stations, all of which are reasonably large and interconnected.
- The building is beautiful on the outside (like the majority of structures in Eixample), and very nicely done up in the inside.
- Staff were very friendly and accommodating, and spoke excellent English.
- The rooms themselves were comfortable, tasteful and sporting modern bathrooms.

The cons:
- I can only think of one, which is the size of the room itself. We stayed in two different rooms: one with a balcony to the street, and one without. The room with a balcony felt more claustrophobic, and the shower and bathroom were literally within arms reach of the bed. If you like your privacy while sittin' on the can, this room is not for you. The room WITHOUT a balcony had a bathroom layout much more conducive to philosophising in private while on the ol' throne.

Note: we came here in late September (and the weather was perfect), so we didn't really test the aircon too much.

The receptionists extremely friendly and helpful. Bedrooms nice size and very clean. Ask for a room with a balcony facing on to the street. No restaurant or bar but that is not a problem as there are plenty of both within walking distance of the hotel. Highly recommend this hotel.
