I was traveling with my husband to spain n Barcelona was our last destination; heard so much about this place so we were looking forward to our stay neither did we know that such a horrible thing was waiting for us.
Checked in the hotel around 3 pm on 19 the June 2018.
Staff were good, room was highly okay for the price we paid so requested to give a bigger room bcoz what they had offered was extremely small . There was guy who had come to our room since the bathroom door handle had broken ( he was from Ghana ) we were inside the room when he was doing the work. After that we left to walk at la rambla street since it was closest and we were no mood to do anything major. ( Walk was just 10 min since my husband wasn't well )

Later did we find out that either the guy must have visited the room in our absence or the room service people visited, we found some lost money from our bag which was inside our main bags. ( Euros + INR) since the hotel DINT HAVE ELECTRONIC LOCKERS.

On detail calculations from our end about the expenditure we realised our money was missing.

On mailing them and asking about the offence done the staff clearly denied the crime done also there is NO CCTV CAMERA IN THE HOTEL for proof.

OUR EXPERIENCE AT BARCELONA WAS HORRIBLE BCOZ OF THIS HOTEL WHICH IS POORLY EQUIPPED WITH THIEVES INSIDE THE HOTEL.

What you’re saying is ABSOLUTELY FALSE, and you have not shame or moral.

As you said, you were hosted at our hotel for 2 nights. During your stay, nothing happened and you left very happy.

When you went back to your country (India), after almost a week, you wrote us saying that after doing calculations you were missing 600€, and as the calculations weren’t right for you, you were thinking that our maintenance guy (Raymond), who as you said is from Ghana, had stolen them. Raymond has been working for us since 2007! Raymond has always a smile on his face, and he makes himself loved by ALL those who know him, even our guests. He is an honorable person, attentive and sweet. We are a very small hotel and we consider him as our family.

So, we told you that what you were saying was impossible and that surely your calculation errors must be related to other cause. Then you answered asking for the security camera videos and asking me to prove that it wasn`t him, to what I obviously refused.

Then you threatened with writing a bad opinion on TripAdvisor and many other sites, apart from saying bad things about us.

You are one of the worst persons I’ve met in my life, since for your own interest and to get along with your family, you are trying to blame an honorable person, our Raymond!

Please, do all the hotels of the world (and inhabitants of the planet) a favor, stay at home and never leave again!

Even though it is on a busy little street just a short 2 minute walk from Las Ramblas it is so centrally situated that we could walk to just about everything.
The rooms are not fancy, but adequate, very clean and even though our room was facing the street we did not have any noise at night. The continental Breakfast was included in the rate that was very reasonable was more than sufficient to get us started for the day.
There are plenty of great restaurants and coffee shops on the same street
The staff, all of them, were polite friendly and very helpful and the little booklet that they gave us on arrival made out exploring of Barcelona very helpful. The front desk made reservations for us to go to Monserrat. It was a most enjoyable day.
I would certainly recommend this hotel if you want to be in the heart of Barcelona.

We stayed in an economy compact room which had a small balcony. It was small but good for 1-2 nights, Mateo in reception was very helpful and pleasant. Breakfast of cold meats, cheese, juices, boiled egg, beverages, yoghurt, cereals, breads fresh fruits etc were included. Clean comfortable bed and aircon worked well. The location is great just a few minutes to La Rambla and Placa Catalunya. Lots of shopping and eating places next to the hotel. The wifi was excellent. We will definitely stay here again.

I was looking for a place to stay for one night and I'm pleased I chose Hotel Curious. I stayed in a studio room that had a single bed and a bathroom. It was all I needed, very comfortable and I slept well before my long flight home.

The hotel is located on a busy side street off La Rambla, and so it right in the tourist heart of Barcelona.

Even though I only stayed one night, I would recommend this as a place for a longer stay. It's geared up for tourists and would make a great base for exploring the city.

It's a basic hotel, but it's very good value and I recommend it!

Dear Robyn2000,

Thank you very much for sharing your experience at the little Curious! It is so great when we read these lovely reviews, our guests satisfaction is our main goal.

As you said, economy single rooms are in the small side, but they can be a great option for one or two nights stay, for people travelling on a budget.

We look forward to welcoming you soon again!!!!

location, location, location. A simple but stylish place just off La Rambla, near the center of Barcelona. This may be a one-star hotel, but it has a five-star heart. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The Flaminco show they booked for us was astonishing. We loved this place!!!

Dear Pat J,

Thank you so much for your sooo lovely review on TripAdvisor about our hotel. The definition you made of us melted our heart: “one-star hotel, but it has a five-star heart”. We do not want to be only another hotel in our city. We want our city to be part of our hotel, every day. And how can we do it? Getting involved in the day to day of our neighborhood. If we can do anything, we will do anything!

Once again THANK YOU, and we hope to see you soon again!

Now you know where your home is, when you are far from home.

Best regards,
