Probably the longest and most intact aqueduct in the world. Is not to be missed when you visit Segovia. At nights beautifully exposed with colorful lights from the romantic square.

We sat in a sidewalk cafe having some wine and tapas looking up at a Roman aquaduct that runs over this whole town - and you realize how little you know about Western European history or architecture.
For a seasoned traveler, but sure to try sidewalk cafes - talk with the local population - most of them speak English. Segovia is one of those "great walking destination".
We stayed in a private home (B&B) do not remember the name - does not accept credit cards - just euros - was clean and the host was very helpful for finding local interests!

This ancient Roman aqueduct runs right through the city of Segovia. You can't miss it, as it runs right past the town's main square. It is massive and one must marvel at the engineering prowess of the Roman empire.
