The pizza was really delicious, nice view on the rocks of Los Gigantes and really nice people. Next time we would choose it again :)

First of all: reserve a table. In our one-week stay in Los Gigantes we ate at Mamma Lucia's twice (because the first time we liked the pizza so much) and both times we were lucky to get a free table - probably because we arrived relatively early, around 19:00 - and saw people get turned away continuously after that. So book a table and avoid disappointment :)

There is some space inside, but even in October it is far too warm not to sit outside. Besides, you come here in part at least for the view over the Los Gigantes town and bay, so you want to sit on the terrace. Did I mention to book a table? ;) The ambiance is pleasant, not fancy but not shabby either. The owner and two waiters are kept pretty busy during opening hours, but still make time for a quick chat and looking after the patrons. Never difficult to attract a waiter's attention when needed, either. Great service, in short.

We mostly ate pizza and that was quite, quite good. Thin, well-baked, a bit charred - as it should be - not too dry crust, good tomato sauce and cheese balance, fresh ingredients, great flavour. Tried the cappriciosa, quatro stagioni (basically two variants with similar ingredients), as well as one of the house specials with tuna and shrimp, which was nothing short of amazing. The other pizzas were very good to great. The second visit we tried the spaghetti bolognese, which was good, but not as great as the pizzas. Very pure, basic taste, a bit more sauce than you'd expect from a traditional Italian pasta but still a bit less than sauce-loving nations would provide - great ingredients, but it needed a bit of extra salt, pepper and parmesan. Which were all provided.

Second night we also went for deserts, the tiramisu is quite decent if a bit creamy and chocolatey, the panna cotta itself was very good, the sauce a bit on the sweet side, the fresh fruit decoration compensated for this. Thoroughly enjoyable meals, in all. Oh, and a great red house wine, full-bodied and smooth.

Regarding the price, pasta and pizza are extremely affordable (generally less than 10 euros), the meat/fish dishes are a bit more expensive.

Concluding: thoroughly recommended if you are looking for some Italian food that can hold its own with the ones in Italy.

Just spent a week in Los Gigantes & ate in this restaurant twice, food was amazing & staff were very friendly & helpful. We turned up the second night without booking a table & the staff went out of their way to fit us in. Will definitely be back the next time we return to Los Gigantes.
