Nice hotel,friendly staff,recomendet!

4.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed 31 Jul 2024via mobile
The hotel looks very nice on the outside, inside - the rooms are stuck in the 90s. I am not very demanding when it comes to accommodation, as long as there is a clean bed to sleep in and a clean bathroom, so these conditions were met. True, not too much space for a family of 4, but I do not complain. The cleaning staff is excellent, they took out the trash every day and asked if they should clean it. The staff at the reception and at the facility are very friendly, and helpful in arranging trips, transfers, etc. A place for children to play, a small game room where you can play table tennis, billiards, etc., a clean swimming pool open until 8 pm, generally really ok. I recommend!

What a wonderful holiday at this hotel. Situated around 200ft above the seafront it boasts beautiful views of the sea and hotels below. Although it is a steep walk down some steps to Puerto De La Cruz centre, it is only a 5 minute walk. If you have mobility issues there are plenty of taxis at around €5 to the centre. It is only a 5 minute walk away from a supermarket and shopping centre which also includes a Burger King. There is a friendly local store 1 min up the road which sells English bacon and sausages (frozen) and any other groceries you might need. Staff at the hotel are wonderful (especially the reception staff and cleaners) and most of the waitresses are cheerful too, but except one or two who could learn a lesson in manners. The food in the hotel is great and reasonably priced although not an extensive menu. The pool is much larger than it seems on photos which was a nice surprise and there was never a shortage of sunbeds. No lilos/pool floats etc are allowed in the pool and lifeguard very strict about this. The rooms were spacious and clean, equipped with everything you’d need throughout your stay such as cooker, kettle, toaster, toastie maker, microwave, hairdryer, TV etc and towels/bedding were changed regularly. We didn’t stay in the hotel for entertainment on an evening however we did notice bingo, singers and dancers. Plenty of bars/restaurants a short walk from the hotel and also mini golf just up the road (a very steep walk, be warned)
Only downside to this holiday (which is COMPLETELY out of hotels hand, but I will mention it here anyways so travellers are aware) Playa Jardin and surrounding beaches are closed for the foreseeable due to contamination and risk of disease.

All in all would definitely return to this hotel, I’ve paid more for 4* hotels that have been worse than this 3*

Room tip: Take a fan with you, as there is no aircon in apartments - only a ceiling fan in bedroom!

This is a very nice hotel to explore Puerto De La Cruz. The staff are very helpful and assisted us when she booked an excursion to Mt Teide and calling taxis for us when we visited Playa Jardin. The apartments have all you need really. The wifi can be a little slow in places but this is due to where our room was positioned towards the back of the complex so would recommend getting a room nearer reception. The pool was never too crowded and was really warm even for January. Really nice library also and arcade was great! Really liked that they had a laundry room. The bar was actually really nice and had a lovely
vibe and very friendly for families and elderly couples. Large boules court next to the pool so there’s that if you like it. It’s situated close to a mercadona and close to the restaurants in Puerto de la cruz but the hotel itself is up a steep hill so be prepared walking back up, however, it’s nothing major and there’s one way you can go up the hill that is pedestrianised up stairs and there’s plenty of bars etc to stop at along the way. A great hotel for a simple family holiday, would definitely be interested to visit here again should I return to Tenerife.

Room tip: I’d recommend bringing your own pool towels

1hr 1/2 drive from airport.
Top ov a hill, long walk down a big hill, which ment and even long walk back up the hill, was not suitable for the elderly, not advertised very well in how high up the hill.
Needs shops/restaurants within the hotel area

Room tip: Avoid school holidays, pool is not very big for the amount off people in the complex. 15 people in the pool, it's then packed

Great hotel, really friendly staff. Rooms cleaned often and the other parts of the hotel kept really clean. We found it quiet at night which was good as you had to leave the windows open as the rooms got really warm, would definitely benefit from aircon. There are steps (a lot) up from the shops to the apartments or you can walk the long way round up a hill…I found this better than the steps. The mercadona supermarket is down the hill/steps and is great for groceries and really reasonably priced. There are plenty of restaurants down the front and I found them
all very reasonably priced. If you want something special and like steak try Vulk Bewery much better and cheaper than Brunellis steakhouse.
There was also laundry facilities at the apartment which were well priced and meant I could go home with everything washed and ready to go for the next holiday!! Would definitely recommend these apartments.
The only negative is the pool, it looks much bigger in the pictures but it’s actually quite small for the number of apartments there are but it wouldn’t put me off going again…this is the second time we have been at these apartments.

We recently stayed at Casablanca Apartments in Puerto de la Cruz, Tenerife (self-catering) and our family had a pleasant experience. The apartments were impressively clean, and the housekeeping staff were not only diligent but also greeted us with warm smiles, especially Candie. The self-catering facilities in the apartment were convenient, and securing a sun lounger was hassle-free, allowing for a relaxing holiday atmosphere.

While the quick response to apartment issues was commendable (e.g. kettle broke and oven issue which was resolved within ten minutes of informing reception), there were some areas for improvement. The service in the bar/restaurant could be more efficient as we found that sometimes we sat and had to call staff over ourselves to take our order. However, J Carlos was an exception as he was so attentive and always took the time to have a chat. Certain dishes like the oriental rice and pizza lacked flavor, though the lasagne was a standout. The evening entertainment was enjoyable, but additional daytime activities, especially for children, would enhance the overall stay.

The hotel's location, despite being on a hill with many steps, was convenient as the coach transfer dropped us off at the doorstep, where a member of the reception staff helped us with our suitcases immediately. The nearby saltwater beaches were a highlight, aswell as Agatha Christie's painted steps and the quieter atmosphere at the top of the hill which provided a nice escape from the hustle and bustle where you can find Agatha Christie's viewpoint! Overall, it was a decent two-week stay offering good value for money. We would consider returning in the future.
