Nice hotel 5 min away from the centrum. From the centrum it is a lot of steep stairs up the hill, so if you are carrying heavy stuff or grocery, take a taxi. The cost is between 3-5 euro, depending on where you take it from. We were very pleased about the ceiling-fan in the bedroom. The rooms were clean, but a couple of the days they seemed to have left in a hurry.. one day they had not sweeped the floors, another day not made up the bed, and the last day we were there noone came at all. This seemed weird. We also had working wi-fi only half the time we were there.
The entertainment on the hotel was good, I loved the 2 flamenco dancers, they were great! And the duo that played several days played nice songs.

Where to start... probably with the positives as I feel the negatives may drag on a little.

Hotel is very clean, the maids do a brilliant job. You get fresh towels/bedding almost daily and the bar staff are very friendly (and some of the reception staff).

First impressions of the hotel were ok. Our apartment was spacious once we rearranged the two single beds and moved the 10 chairs. (Yes 10 chairs squashed into a small apartment). There was myself, my fiance and son aged 1 who came here.

I usually do my research before booking a holiday however due to us moving house which took over 5 months I must have forgotten to do this in detail this time round before booking.

The pool area does seem very small for the amount of apartments that are here and it does get very cramped with sunbeds practically on top of each other depending where you sit. The board at the pool states you are not allowed any balls, inflatables etc in the pool. We didn't get told off for using our little one's rubber ring though however had he been a bit older I think he would of been disappointed he wouldn't be able to have the holiday standard lilo etc.

Bar food is standard. Same menu for lunch and tea with not a great deal of taste to any of it. Watch out for your drinks bills - menu states drinks are one price however we found we were being charged more on several occassions. Beer is cheap but if you like spirits like me then you're best off going to the supermarket and buying a litre bottle as the bar prices for one spirit and a mixer will cost just as much as a litre bottle!

Entertainment was a joke really. About 3 different acts repeatedly on, old fashioned and to be honest boring. We left most evenings and sat on our balcony after putting the little one to bed. There is a board in reception stating there is children's activities on throughout the day and a mini disco on about 3 evenings at 7pm. We never saw any person offering activities or a mini disco the whole 2 weeks we were here which was really disappointing as we were looking forward to getting some videos of our little one's first mini disco.

The hotel is on a very steep hill which we were aware of and did brave
most evenings however it was very difficult with a pram getting back up it.

It appears that 90% of the restauraunts down in the centre have been taken over by 'Columbus' which had us disappointed every evening as we repeatedly opened the same menu in the different restauraunts we attempted. For a night off the same food we ended up in mcdonalds on several occassions.

The beach here isn't worth the bother. Small, cramped, black sand and very rocky in the sea we weren't prepared to risk going in with our one year old.

We found ourselves pretty bored on this holiday as there wasn't a lot to do at all. We did a couple of excursions- The Loro Parque & Siam Park which were both fantastic however I have reviewed them separately. Other than these two days out we found not a great deal to do which would of been fine had the weather been good everyday however in two weeks we have had about 4 full days of sun.

Check out is at 12 and our transfer wasn't until 6pm. We enquired as to whether we could keep our room a little longer with having our baby with us to which we were told there would be a charge of €20. We decided against this and sat in the downstairs lobby instead as the weather is bad again. The lobby had been empty every time I have passed through here over the last 2 weeks and so we camped out here until our transfer. I did try to catch up on some sleep before our long journey however a member of staff told us off as the sofas were 'only for sitting'. I could understand if we were sprawled all over them but we had leant back slightly and had our feet not on the sofas. - don't think there was any need for her to say anything really it's not like we were doing any harm or disturbing anyone.

The the hotel is very dated and old fashioned and proudly still displays their Thomson awards from 1989 all over the walls in the downstairs lobby.

On the whole we have been really disappointed with this holiday and do feel let down by our tour operator as we haven't really experienced what was advertised in the brochure.

Would we come back again? No. Would we recommend to anyone else? No.

I have already mentioned of my stay here in the earlier reviews, however I forgot to mention minor issues that I faced.
The cleaners have their set of keys, they do not knock to enter. I am assuming, that even if I have not put up no disturb sign on the door knob, they should knock at least once and then enter.
Also we were given two joined single bed. For a couple on their honeymoon especially, it becomes a bit uncomfortable. But we never mentioned it at the desk. The best part is that they served us complimentary fruits which were very good n a bottle of wine. Registration desk is helpful.

Had a six night stay in a very nice one bedroom apartment. Apartment nice size with everything needed lovely walk in shower nice balcony to sit outside. Very well kept and clean fresh towels provided. The pool area well maintained but is on the small side if coming with a family may be a issue. Staff all very friendly and helpful. As others have said the steep walk back from town may be a issue for some but taxis are cheap. Lovely restaurants available in town and very good value. For us I enjoyed our stay in the apartments and would return again. Secure underground parking available for 4.50 Euro daily small shop beside apartment for basic supplies big supermarket hyper dino at bottom of the hill.
