Being British we arrived before 9pm and got a table! The staff were really good and very helpful. The wine was lovely and we had really nice pudding wines recommended by the staff.
But the food was nothing more than average. Salty peppers, soggy batter and cheese with tomatoes that anyone could have constructed. The puddings were obviously bought in. A rubbery creme caramel and a gloomy sweet almond concoction which was inedible.
Nice place but poor food. Depends what you like!

I go to this restaurant often. I think it's one of the best Canarian restaurants in La Laguna. The food is very good and the price is fair. The only negative point goes to the service. Personally I find some of the waiters impolite. Once I reserved a table, when I arrived there I was told that it was not a real reservation for a fixed time, but they just wrote your name in an "waiting list" and as soon as you turn came you were given the table. If there's no queue I really like to have dinner there.

The restaurant is situated in the basement, but the day we visited the weather was not very good so no sunligth was no problem. The place is very comfortable and cosy just what a winecellar should be like... We enjoyed a great variety of tapas. Especially the mixed plate with cheeses and meats were appriciated. The grilled gambas too. The local wine that we were suggested was a perfect match.

All the food we had in this restaurant was good, both in quality and quantity (but note that a medium steak would have been called rare in most UK restaurants). The house red wine was good value at 12 Euro – indeed this plus a two course meal for two, water and coffee was good value at a total of 56 Euro.

The restaurant is not large but obviously very popular with locals. We had almost the last table at 8.30pm and soon there were quite a few people waiting at the bar. But we were not put under even implicit pressure to vacate the table.
