We came across this restaurant walking from the boulevard. It was excellent! Exactly whats been said here: good fish, friendly service and an okay price.
The salmon - scrimp tartare was to die for!! So good.

We didn’t expect to have such amazing food. Looks very normal from the outside but absolutely fabulous! Fantastic service from both the guy on the street to the waitresses. Would 100% return

Very good food, service not too bad. Good atmosphere and lovely view.
Had a bit of a wait for desserts due to soufflè issues but it was worth it. Some communication would of helped as we were getting fed up waiting.
Not the cheapest meal we've had but worth it.

Thank Tina F

Thank you very much for your opinion, our cuisine is prepared at the moment so that they arrive at the table with its fullness of flavor, that is why some dishes have some delays

We visited as couple last week and were told as we hasn’t booked they only had a table next to the entrance away from the lovely sea views however several other people turned up without bookings and were given better tables....this was disappointing. The starters we had were tempura prawns and croquettes which were delicious but really big portions for a starter. I really enjoyed the Seafood Carbonara as a main but my partner wasn’t keen on the black cod but this could just be personal taste. The service was excellent throughout however I just thought it was a touch expensive for what it was.

The seafood at Almar was very tasty and fresh. Everything came beautifully plated and tasted good. The whole meal the sun was shining in our eyes as it set, which happens, not much can be done regarding that. The problems began when the sun has set- it became very cold to the point my friends were shivering. The table next to us was offered blankets and when I requested one for my friend, the waitress said they were going to close the siding of the restaurant, but she would get the blanket. About 10 mins later, still no blanket. When I asked the waitress again she was snippy about it and made it seem like I was putting her out. She then brought the blanket, but still never shut the siding as she had promised. Her poor attitude put a damper on our evening.
