We stayed here at the beginning and end of our holiday. The room on the first three nights had a problem with the black out curtains. We told staff several times but they didn't really follow it up with us and we were uncertain if it was just a design fault. We found it was just a fault when we returned to a different room. The bed on the return stay was completely caved in on one side. They did move us but this was a hassle - as we noticed the bed after we'd unpacked - and there was no help/apology etc. Generally the hotel is a bit run down, the carpets are very worn for example; and there is a general feel of doing the minimum in terms of the rooms, and as others have stated with regard to small numbers of parasols etc. in the pool area. They also charge for pool towels which I wouldn't expect in a high star hotel. I would say it's more like a 3/4 star.
On the positive side, the location is good, when the beds aren't damaged they're large and comfortable, the shower is good, the rooms are spacious, the pool area is nice and the hotel is pretty clean. I would score it "good" not average but there is only "average" or "very good" available to score and it's not quite either.More
