Highly recommended, as the two hour tour provides a cross- secretion of the city's colorful and varied history. My tour guide was very attentive and knowledgeable (she is a professional in historic artifact restoration). Must do.

By far one of my favorite walking tours with my awesome personal guide, Crispu! The views from the top of the Metropol Parasol were incredible and I was fortunate to do both the Seville and Metropol tours back to back! I highly recommend anyone visiting to check it out while in town. Also, it's important to remember to have realistic expectations. If you're expecting to be teleported in a phone booth to that actual era like in "Bill and Ted's Excellent Adventure"...think again. Also, consider the cost. There's a shorter tour for 10 euros or the longer one for 20 euros. Now if you were being charged double that I can understand being dissapointed but the reality is that it's a great experience for the price you pay with very knowledgeable tour guides.Lastly, the equipment is only going to get better...not everything is going to be perfect but it will improve as time goes on and more cities start incorporating these tours. I should know because I live in Silicon Valley in the San Francisco/Bay Area where technology is no joke and constantly advancing.

My family and I had high expectations after hearing about this tour in the NYT. However, we were unimpressed by the technology, efficiency of the tour in the beginning (start tour time was scheduled for 11, took about 15 minutes to get everyone set up), and especially the juvenile/sorry telling like videos. While the tour guide was knowledgeable, the videos could have shared more general history about the region rather than illustrating stories about for example, a peasant writing a love letter to a crush. The 360 view was also not that interesting considering that they are shown right after we watched a video of that view for a few minutes. For a more educational and interactive experience, I’d recommend a traditional walking tour.

We were very much looking forward to this different type of tour, but they still have some work to do to meet their potential. The notion of using technology to see what various sites you're looking at might have been in the past is great, but the technology isn't quite up to snuff. When looking at the interactive video, the visuals that are really in front of you are still visible, which takes away from the experience. (You can, of course use your hand to block out "the present," but that feels a bit pedestrian.) In addition, one of the longest stops was in the plaza directly outside the Alcazar, filled with school children so (understandably) noisy that it's nearly imposssible to hear the Past View program. If they could improve the technology, and pick "stops" that are less noisy, it would be a far more positive experience. Our guide, Chrispu/Chris was very knowledgeable.

I'll start by saying that this was a unique and different way to do a walking tour of the city, so if you're looking for that, you'll get it. For us, it fell a bit short of our expectations. The tour is basically standing in a location and watching a video about the location, but with very little interaction between what you're seeing in the glasses and where you are; and the pace felt rushed to us, just getting from one location to the next as quick as possible without much information in between. It did give us some insight we wouldn't have gotten on our own, but felt a bit pricey to us compared to other things we'd done in the city.
