The hotel is brilliantly positioned for access to the Central Station which offers excellent train links to all parts of the city. Rooms were basic but comfortable, as were the beds. Shared toilet maybe not ideal for room sharing couples but, as we were on a blokes weekend, it wasn't a problem for us. Room was warm clean and comfortable and the hotel offered excellent value for what we paid.
Breakfast at 6 Euros a go is fine with meats bread and cheeses all on offer amongst other things.
Overall I would recommend the Kieler Hof if you are on a budget. For what we paid the hotel ticked many boxes.

Spent 3 nights the Kieler Hof in a double room with my son on a stag weekend. The location of the hotel is superb. 1 minut walk to Central Station. If it's the Reeperbahn you want, it's a long walk from here (45 mins) but 5 minutes on the train .So This hotel is ideal for The City Centre and Hamburg in general.

The hotel is very basic. Two single beds in the room, a shower cubicle, wash basin and single wardrobe. There is also a TV and free Wifi. There is no toilet in the room, that is at the end of the corridor and shared by 4 or 5 rooms.

The beds are comy, clean, and towels are changed daily. The rooms are small but perfectly adequate for a short stay. If your paying by credit card, they make a 4% charge. A three night stay for the room for the two of us came to 234 Euros, so it isn't especially cheap, but not particulaly expensive either.

We didn't have breakfast, which is available at 6 euro a day. The room was quiet, no problems with noise from outside and the area around the hotel is fine.

The location makes this hotel a winner for a short stay in Hamburg

You get the very basics that you pay for.

Staff was very accommodating and helpful at all times.

The area isn't great as there are some corner ladies around at night who sometimes shout and get on a fight.

What annoyed me was that our double bed was in fact 2 beds put together, which kept pulling apart.

Breakfast was plentiful, however the bread we got on our second day was clearly the day's before, as it was rock solid...

The hotel is located 2 min walk from the central station, yet the street is quiet and not dodgy at all. Clean rooms with excellent beds, high ceiling and stucco. The continental breakfas was plentiful with both rye bread and 'Brötchen'.

All in all we had a very pleasant stay at Kieler Hof and would recommend to anyone!
