We stayed here for 5 nights at the beginning of February and the room was cool and we weren't able to turn up the radiators. It was warmer in the corridor. The rooms were very clean. The hotel is about 15 mins taxi ride from the airport and you can catch buses outside, or it's an 800m walk to the train station which is good for the sights. One really bad point is that we ordered an early morning wake up call on the day we left, and it didn't happen. Lucky we woke up in time. Did report it to the receptionist and a very cool sorry was gven

I visited the hotel during a business trip. The hotel is lovely, very comfortable and the personnel was very helpful. Also the breakfast was very nice and delicious. It is located in a very nice area but no so close to centre.

The hotel is now called Park hotel. It is located on a busy road close to shops and restaurants. We stayed for 3 nights. We booked the superior room on ground floor.
The positives to the hotel. Clean rooms. Our superior was a good size. Bath and shower. 2 double beds. Basic coffee/tea. Fridge not best. Cleaned daily.
The negatives. The receptionists at hotel make no effort to help with anything. Slow service. We asked for help and advise on a few things as we are new here and they just couldn't be bothered helping at all.
We asked for late check out. First receptionist didn't even ask room number, and said we have a big arrival next day?? We were here for 3 nights so wouldn't of effected us anyway?? Really unhelpful.
Second receptionist on the next night did ask our room number! Checked for late check out on our last day here and said oh we don't have late check out you will have to book the room for the full night for €87. We only asked for 2 hours late check out as our flight was in late afternoon. Why offer late check out on rooms? The room was clearly not yet booked anyway.
The duvet sizing on the beds were a little odd. Single size duvets on a double size bed. Never encountered that before. Far too small, just about covered one person and the pillows needed jumping on they were so big. We both struggled with them.
Coffee/tea in room. Very basic. 2 of each. No milk sachets provided, so black coffee it was! Fridge not very cold at all.
Tv in room. No English channels whatsoever.
The hotel upon arrival looks nice, clean.
But the lack of service and basic rooms really does have it pushing as a 3 star.
We would not return to the hotel, but managed as we were out most the day exploring Hamburg, and watched a film on our phone in evening.
We were let down by our stay.

Reserved through hotels.com. We stayed one night as it is close by the airport. There was no room at the hotel parking (half of which was closed for repair), which could not be helped. But when asked for advice the receptionist said "I don't know. I don't drive". The room was with a double bed and a double sofa for the children. This sofa was so uncomfortable that my teenage son chose to sleep on the floor. There was no way of regulating temperature, and we could hear all conversations held in the stairwell. Good it was only one night.

Dear Berritsoe,

Thank you for the review and the time you spend writing with it.
We are very sorry that you didn't enjoyed the time in our hotel.
At the time we restructure our parking lot behind the hotel. I'm very sorry that the receptionist could not helped you to find another parking posibility. Be sure, that I will speak to her about this behavior.
Also I'm very sorry that the couch wasn't comfortable, so that your son didn't has a good night. As another option we also have Superior rooms, where you have tweo double beds in, so that everyone has a bed to sleep.

We hope we could welcome you here again.

Kind regards

Carolin Lohse

We stayed at this hotel for two nights.
The staff were very friendly and accommodating.
I say this because we changed rooms three times in the first hour because the refrigerator in the rooms were not functioning and the fan in the bathroom would not turn off
The breakfast was good a little on the expensive side at 12 Euros each but it was good quality food and very fresh.
The hotel rooms need to be renovated because they are aging.
The lift is a one person only ride and it was broken on the 2nd floor
The staff did well to handle all the issues with this building and keep people happy
