Another great free thing to do, although you do have to register before hand. Through airport style security then up in a lift to the roof and dome. Grab a leaflet showing the skyline and notable buildings and enjoy the views. Walk up the spiral walkway up to the top of the dome , there's and up walkway and a down walkway by the way. Nice restaurant up on the roof and a take away stall in the dome. Lots of information in the dome showing the history of the building.

A visit here was a must for us, but we had a lot of trouble getting a ticket during the duration of our stay. We ended up getting a hop on hop off bus ticket that included entrance, coffee and cake.

Once in, very interesting building with great views and free audio guides. Restaurant was nice, top end though so a bit pricey.

Seems there is a hut to buy tickets from, but you need to plan a couple of days ahead.

My aunt told me about this tourist attraction after having been on a visit to Berlin herself but warned me that you had to book in advance. I think there is a chance that you can just turn up on the day in the hope of getting in but I would recommend booking. This can be done on the month that you plan to visit on the previous month. So, I booked on the 1 May for a visit in June and even then, there was only one time slot left !

You don't pay but must take your passport and go through security. Everyone was very nice and polite and we had no issues, it all ran like clockwork. We had an hour's guided tour and this was full of information with lots of Qs and As. Afterwords, we went up to the dome and it was really beautiful.

Would highly recommend doing this tour but book, book, book in advance.

First of all...it is for free! So if you have time in Berlin, then book your visit in advance. You need a reservation to go up, but it is for free! On a nice day you will have great views of Berlin with its most recognizable sight: the TV tower. You also can a glimpse of the inside of the parliament!
