This small hotel is in the perfect location for a visit to the German Game Archive which is about two or three minutes down the hill.
The room I had wasn't large, but was just the right size to accommodate a bed, desk, chair, wardrobe, basin, mini-bar and a wall-mounted television. An en-suite bathroom meant I had all the facilities I needed.
Due to a flight delay I arrived quite late in the evening, so the minibar was most welcome. Reception was closed when I arrived so I had to make a phone call to a central location that seems to administer several sites before I could get into my room. This was a bit of a fraught way to finish a long journey, but a couple of security people arrived after a little while and sorted out room access.
It's worth noting that the minibar prices were not as extortionate as they often are, and there is space in the fridge for your own things.
One of the receptionists seemed to be a bit arsey when I wanted coffee from the machine in the breakfast area after she'd given it a wipe down, so I smiled sympathetically as I got my coffee and put it down poor customer service skills.More
