For us this is currently the restaurant in Nuremberg and in my opinion it needs to be much higher up in the ranking. The BA Beef Club is a steak house of a special kind. Not only you can get what some places would call "butter knife steak", that is wonderfully pink on the inside and has some nice color on the outside, you are also spoiled with sides and sauces that are really creative and tasty. The meat is provided by local family butchers and USDA Prime American suppliers and prepared in a Josper Grill Oven. The menu changes once in a while so the sides are seasonal and sometimes with a franconian twist. Also some American influence is easy to detect. Peanut butter and sweet potatoes are always a part of the dishes on the menu. Depending on how hungry you are the meat section starts at 200g and goes up to 900g. A main dish without sides starts at 24 Euros. Appetizers are around 15 Euros and desserts around 12 Euros.
Everything is arranged on the plates in such an artful manner and is cooked to perfection. Also the restaurant treats its guests to an included pre-appetizer (amuse-bouche), a pre-dessert (at times we ordered dessert) and a small tier stand with cookies and chocolates at times when we ordered coffee.
The wine selection is rather limited but has a greater selection of wines from the US than one usually finds at a German restaurant. We have ordered the Salmon Creek Merlot and Cycles Gladiator Zinfandel. Both are nice but not exceptional wines. There are some lovely (but expensive) wines included in the Red Special Selection section of the winelist which are definitely worth trying on a special occasion.
The service was charming and attentive and the atmosphere very urban American with the currently very chic interior style in gold and grey/plum with geometrical shapes. The light is dim unlike most German restaurants and therefore perfect for a romantic dinner date.
