We had two double rooms and the staff arranged, in advance, our reservation for a dinner at a local restaurant on the night of our arrival. Our daughter (a UK resident) was ill during her stay and the staff arranged for her and her partner to go to hospital where she received excellent treatment.
There may be stairs to the rooms but there was also the excellent service of our bags being whisked up (as if they weighed 5kgs each) and carried directly to the room! We were in awe! The breakfasts were hearty.

Due to the justifiable popularity of this hotel, we were unsuccessful in earlier attempts to book a room. With that in mind, we were finally rewarded for our efforts by booking nearly a year in advance!
Our stay was for four nights. The staff was amazing! Each one of them took all of the time needed to answer every question. Our room was very roomy and comfortable with a large bed and a sizeable sitting area. The bath was much larger than most hotels we have stayed in in Europe. (We have travelled there extensively!)
The hotel is really well located, close to public transportation, restaurants and the a huge biergarten.
We had some German friends over for breakfast and they were impressed, as we were each morning.
In all, an excellent hotel. We highly recommend it!

We stayed here five years ago and gave it five stars then. I will still give it five stars! The location in Munich is awesome as it is easily accessible to public transportation. The area is very safe and quiet and it just a few minutes walk from a few great beer gardens, restaurants, and sights. The rooms are very comfortable and the customer service from Sebastian and everyone at the front desk was the best!!! Absolutely love the breakfast...they went out of their way to make sure that our group of seven had a table ready for us in the morning! I would highly recommend you stay at the Hotel Laimer Hof if you are in Munich.

I am so thrilled to have found Hotel Laimer Hof and will absolutely return to this hotel again in the future! I arranged a five day visit to Munich with my family, my sister’s family and our father this June. We had nine in our party, age range 7 to 77 so we were a bit of a pack. We had plenty of space for our two 4-person families in the top floor family rooms, located right next to our dad in a single. Breakfast was easy every morning, either all together or in shifts as kids got over jet lag.

What was so wonderful about this hotel is the personalized advice from the warm and friendly staff. Sebastian helped us figure out the family train ticket options to go on a hike/mountain tram ride in Garmisch-Partenkirchen, Jan gave us excellent restaurant tips a few nights, all of which were easy 5 minutes walk from the hotel. Overall very helpful and friendly interaction with everyone.

The other great thing about this hotel is location. My sister visited the nearby Schloss their arrival day and we went to the Hirschgarten three or four times for either lunch or dinner to catch some WC soccer games - all on foot and so close. Also the convenience of the streetcar stop (<10 min from hotel) and S-Bahn (~20 min) made it very simple/low stress to go all over town: Marianplatz, Olympia Park, Deutsches Museum, the Englischer Garten to rent bikes, directly to Hauptbahnhof to do a day trip or our final trip to catch a train to our next city. All with kids and grandpa!

I have spent a lot of time in Munich for work and lived there many years ago while a child, and this neighborhood was a complete find. My sister and I both agreed that Hotel Laimer Hof was a magical place to stay.

We stayed at this hotel only for one night, but we really enjoyed our stay. This is a cozy family hotel. The rooms were nice with a new and clean bathroom. Beds were comfy too. Simple, but nice breakfast with good quality.
