My Mr and I, along with our traveling companions, recently enjoyed a Bavarian Food and Beverage Tour with Danni.

Danni’s passion for her subject was infectious. She was able to weave in the story of beer as we sampled various types of beer and some traditional Bavarian dishes. Confession time. I am not a huge fan of beer ... and I still enjoyed myself!

What an amazing tour! Our guide, Kathleen, shared her considerable knowledge about this historic site. Have visited before but the right guide makes ALL the difference! This tour is not for children! It’s serious history with little amusement. Considerable walking involved so bring walking shoes and an open mind to learn the multitude of historic intricacies that led to this horrific situation. Not for the faint of heart but should be required for all in government around the world!

Radius Tours treated our family to a terrific day at Neuchwanstein Castle!

We met at the central train station and took a comfortable, air conditioned charter bus to the town at the base of the hill where the castle is situated. The bus ride was approximately two hours. Then we enjoyed a lunch break while our tour guide, Veronika, arranged for our castle tour tickets. We walked up the big hill to the castle. Along the way, Veronika told us about King Ludwig and the history of the castle - she had great stories and a fun sense of humor that engaged even our 13 year old who normally dislikes all tours!

The tour is well worth it - they make the logistics very easy (no hassling with figuring out the train and bus connections, no buying tickets at the castle and then waiting two hours until your tour time). The transportation is very comfortable. You learn so much more from the Radius tour guides than you get from just the 30 minute basic castle tour.

Be sure to wear good walking shoes - it is a hike up the hill! But not as bad as some made it sound.

Thank you, Veronika, for such a fun and informative tour. The castle outing was a highlight of our visit to Munich and Bavaria.

We took the Neuschwanstein Castle Small-Group Day Tour from Munich, and our assigned guide was Anna.

From the get go, it was clear to me that the tour would be different. Anna's approach had a personal touch to it. She revealed that she was reading a book about King Ludwig II, who was responsible for the construction of the castle. It seems she's genuinely interested in the King and the castle's history, and it really shined through.

We really enjoyed how she told Ludwig II's story and how the tour flowed along as the story unfolded. It felt like a journey through the King's life, which greatly enhanced our appreciation of the castle's history.

The tour felt more like an invitation and get together to share in Anna's interest in the King and the castle's story. Anna herself was more than a guide, she felt like a personal friend.

On our journey back in the coach, Anna even went about giving tailored travel tips and recommendations to everyone, according to our individual travel plans beyond this tour, which added even more to the tour.

It was an excellent and highly enjoyable tour overall, and I only wish we would have more chances to see Anna in any future tour with Radius.
