My husband and I stayed here with our dogs. I emailed them to set up a reservation and make sure the size of our dogs was acceptable, and the woman helping me, Kerstin, was fantastic! She was extremely nice and very accommodating. We stayed in the jumbo suite and it was very large and had everything we needed. Definitely staying here again!

There’s nothing exceptional about this hotel (I’d actually say it’s more a 3 star by general international standards) - but there’s also nothing much wrong with it either.

Plus points include:

- very friendly, welcoming staff
- comfortable characterful room
- good, quality breakfast
- useable Wi-fi
- comfortable beds
- great shower pressure

Negative points are:

- the main road it’s situated on is rather busy
- my room only had thin blinds that part covered the windows, so light fills the room first thing
- the location is a long way from the old characterful part of town

You can definitely do far worse than to stay here.

Dear Peter,

thanks for the review :-)

The only thing I can find to elaborate on is the "old, characterful part of town". For those who don't know Garmisch-Partenkirchen: there used to be two towns until 1935, Garmisch and Partenkirchen. Therefore, we have two city centers; the Garmisch part of town is the one that actually feels like a city center (with commerce and restaurants/cafes etc.), the Partenkirchen city center is more of a historic, characterful place to visit. The Garmisch center is app. 1km from the hotel, so either 15 minutes walking or 5-8 minutes by bus (free of charge, directly from the hotel to the center); the Partenkirchen center is too far to walk, that is correct -> but said bus will go there, too, and will take app. 20 minutes to do so.

Safe travels!

Wow. What a view of the Alps! What a balcony! Superior! My wife and I stayed here during our European tour, and the hotel was absolutely beautiful. The hotel itself is really a spa / resort, and it was not too expensive (~$150 if I recall after conversion from Euros). In our two weeks in Europe, this was BY FAR our favorite hotel. The breakfast (included) was an amazing mix of European and American food.

Stayed here for 2 days and we liked every part of hotel and its surrounding.

Hotel is perfectly for ppl who want to stay away from busy crowd and near to City Centre, City centre and supermarket is in walkable distance from hotel, the best part is bus stop is right in front of Hotel. Hotel Provided free GAPA (Bus Pass )card.

Rooms are spacious, clean and wonderful view with balcony, SPA is well maintained.
Breakfast was really good. You need to reserve table to enjoy breakfast with view.

Overall the stay was comfortable and we really enjoyed every moment here.
Thanks you Mr. Aadreas for making this stay very special.

It was the perfect place to get to and from nearby historical sites, castles, villages, outdoor sites, etc. The room was spacious and clean. Only down side was the bed was incredibly firm and bad for sensitive backs and no elevator for third floor rooms if you have trouble walking.

Hey there,

and thanks for the review, much appreciated :-)

It is true that the mattresses are a little bit on the firmer side of the spectrum; we found that those are more comfortable for most guests.

BUT: since we also have guests that prefer softer bedding, we bought covers that are cushioned. Therefore, we can change the "firmness" in several steps. Just let us know and we can prepare accordingly next time ;-)

Safe travels
