Owner description: The Museum celebrates the automobile invented by Carl Benz in 1886: it relates its history and tells its stories, bringing both alive by placing them in the context of technology, day-to-day life, social history and popular culture. More than 160 vehicles of all types are the main protagonists. They range from some of the oldest automobiles ever built to legendary racing cars and futuristic research vehicles. Together with other exhibits, they form the centrepiece of the permanent exhibition covering a total of 16,500 square metres in twelve rooms. This unparalleled world can be discovered on two tours that follow a 'Legend' and 'Collection' narrative.

So if you love looking at old cars, new cars, any cars you will love this place. If you are like me and don’t really know a thing about cars you will still like this place. There is a lot of history on the walls and some fun car facts that make this a nice museum. We got there just before 4:30 and were told that if we waited until 4:30 to enter our tickets would be half price and the kids were free! We were still done by 6:00 when they closed so we were glad we got there when we did.

An absolute must for car fanatics and lovers of life and beauty. One of the most complete collections on planet earth. And what a building, stunning in every detail. Unrivalled automobile museum and another proof of the quality of the brand.

Even though I am not a particular car enthusiast this museum really made a remarkable impression on me. Fantastic building, a brilliant focus on the history of the car, and the impact that the invention of the engine had. I really recommend it!

The museum is outstanding-huge variety of cars from the late 1800's to present. The building is beautiful-a work of art! Fantastic time was spent here. Only downside, it is very hard to get to on public transport. Trains only run to the stadium on lines 1 and 11 when events are on. Don't be put off it is well worth a taxi fare.

Everything about this museum is brilliant. The building itself, the exhibits and displays all reek of quality and a depth of thought you'd expect from Mercedes. It tells the history of Mercedes and indeed global affairs over the last 120 odd years. You'll see some very rare and exotic machinery from the Benz portfolio including my favourite car of al time, the 300SLR Ulenhaut Coupe. Well worth a visit.
