“Great for weddings. Not great for tourists”

The Hotel has agreed Location overlooking the city. The rooms are well appointed. However, there was a noisy wedding till 2 am and a business group in the morning. As a hotel guest I felt almost out of place, but at a high cost. The internet wifi is very poor and since the staff is busy with the groups there is no one to deal, with that.

Whether you are wanting to have a romantic getaway above the old town of Heidelberg or celebrate a wedding or special occasion in this gorgeous town, this place is still a little hidden gem. A little off the grid (but easily reachable by car or cable car (Bergbahn) with its own stop starting from the old town centre, via the famous Heidelberg castle, this hotel not only bears a long history, but is also keeping up with modern times. The rooms were refurbished in 2016 and are very comfortable, modern and chic. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. I particularly recommend their ballroom for functions (my sister celebrated her wedding there), but also corporate conferences can be accommodated in different size rooms.
5 stars from me. And I will be back for sure.

Stopped here after hiking up the Hill - Fantastic homemade Cakes served with a smile and genuine friendliness the views aren't Bad either - Had the Baked Cherry Cheesecake which was made with whole cherries - Gorgeous Coffee Ok but it all about the CAKE as far as I am concerned , my wife didn't say much about the Apple cake as she was too busy scoffing it and then eating some of mine. I should have taken her lead and eaten faster but wanted to enjoy the cake slowly, Come here for the Gorgeous Cake and views

The restaurant is attached to a boutique hotel. There is a grand old ball room that is beautiful and a banquet hall that also has the best view of Heidelberg. Worth the visit for the view alone. We had a big group of 30 and the service was fantastic. The food was quite good.
