We arrived to a spectacular room with high ceilings and a view of the Neckar River. In the room was a romantic fairy tale bed surrounded with sheer drapery and covered with the very best monogrammed linen. The bed was amazingly comfortable and the room was spotless.

A nicely appointed buffet breakfast was served downstairs in a fabulous underground tunneled room. It was a grand experience to sit there each morning.

The staff were extremely helpful and hospitable. They helped us to make arrangements to see the castle and tour around. Great restaurants are within a 5-10 minute walk.

The only reason to leave the hotel is to see this amazing city. Wish we could have stayed longer!

Room Tip: Rooms facing the river are the best. There are many choices.

This place is special. The decor, cleanliness, amenities, appointments and the staff's desire to please make for a perfect stay in this historic, riverside gem.

The rooms are very large, offer wonderful views and, though just feet from a busy street, utterly silent. They have a timeless design yet offer every possible modern creature comfort. The beds are awesome.

The breakfast buffet is generous, delicious and beautifully presented. Staff is available to happily supplement with limited to-order eggs and such.

Housekeeping keeps rooms in perfect order. The location is safe and beautiful.
And the price is right. Heidelberg awaits- what are you waiting for?

My second stay at this charming hotel. Not too big, comfortable rooms, very clean, friendly staff, responsive to questions and requests. Nice view of the river. Good location, short walk to old town. Breakfast was good, several choices

The Hotel Villa Marstall is a lovely venuel with a room with a view (e.g., Room 31). The hotel is one of the few in Heidelberg that sits right on the Neckar River with its cruise ships, and is within easy walking distance of the city's pedestrian mall, its sidewalk cafes, it's medieval castle on the bluff and the Philosopher's Walk. The hotel is reasonably priced and the staff is attentive and efficient. Be sure to check out its yummy breakfast in its cellar.

Room Tip: Ask for a second or third floor room with a view of the Neckar River
