Spouse and I enjoyed the 3.5 hour mixed-gender bathing cycle two weeks ago for the first time. If you're not comfortable being naked among strangers, don't worry. The process is highly regulated, moderately monitored, and they are clearly used to newbies.

After paying at the front desk, you'll get a bracelet that allows you to lock and unlock your clothing locker and tracks your time in the spa. You'll be sent to your (un)dressing room to lock up your things and given the large cotton sheet which you use as an underlayment on the first couple of lounge chairs. There are also foldable square mats on shelves outside each of the wet saunas to sit on after you pass your sheet off.
Although there are 17 stages, you may choose to skip stages (my husband and I, for example, were the only people we noticed actually attempting the cold-water baths). You can also repeat steps multiple times (except for the "service" stages where they scrub you or lotion you).
We did the "soft" soap scrub, which is actually pretty handy, because after they scrub you down, you notice how the water is slightly carbonated, which feels pretty cool.

Also, in a room full of naked people, we are excruciatingly polite. You don't make eye contact, but you don't watch for body language either. Nobody is staring at you because just like three-year-olds playing peekaboo, you tell yourself if you don't look at them they can't see you. Easy-peasy! Everyone gets a wide berth in the baths.

If you're in the neighborhood, give it a go. It may take you an hour or so to truly relax (the hot sauna is super helpful for that), but we've decided that we'll definitely come back again.

This Therma Spa is a great experience, the architecture is beautiful and creates a very relaxing atmosphere. Be prepared that some days are mixed nude and there are some days where it is segerageted nude. I visited on the mixed nude day with a soft brush massage for 3.5 hours, it's actually not as terrifying an experience as some people would imagine. Once you get in and realise everyone is the same and nothing to hide it's no longer a problem. Three and half hours is more than enough time for the massage and to complete the 17 room spa circuit twice without rushing. Towels, sheets and footwear are provided and there are water fountains to drink from if you feel a little dehydrated. There is a relaxation area at the end but if your not already relaxed after the saunas there's something seriously wrong. Overall I would definatelty recommend this experience.

These are beautiful historical baths and they provide a 17 stage wellness session which lasts 3-4 hours and you can choose to include massages...the first with soap and brushes....the last with soothing creams for additional charges, which I would recommend. Very good value for money with the basic 15 stages costing only 25 euros....with both massages (only 8 mins each, be aware) it comes to 49 euros. I will go again..! Also, be aware that these baths are completely nude...in case you weren't aware.

Admired the beautiful building from the outside and went in just to check out what it was. Learnt that it was ancient baths with a combination of saunas and pools of different temperature. Decided there and then to try it at once. As the friendly woman in the reception said - we provide towels, and you are not allowed to wear any clothing so you have all you need.
Said and done, we got undressed and went in! It was a "separate" day which means that women and men are in one end of the building each. At one point there was a pool which was accessible to both, but if you do not want to you do not have to mix at all. Not sure how it is done on the mixed days, if both sides are used and you can go wherever.
Anyway, after the first station you kind of forget that you are naked. And when you swim in the first pool, you are actually glad you are, it is rather liberating to be swimming around naked.
We took the treatment that included a scrub which was very nice. OK, nice is maybe not the word when you get scrubbed. I took the "hard" version (you can have a soft as well). That really scrubs your skin so afterwards you feel completely clean and soft.
Overall highly recommended visit.
The building itself is fantastic, like an old film. I love that they kept the old school tiles on the floor and walls instead of making it into a modern spa the you find 13 on the dussin.
