The restaurant Moss is well known for its seafood specialities and recommended by local business partners. Situated in the 2nd district within the upper OLD Town in a pedestrian zone it is at the top of a lane with a lot of „bouchons“, the typical Lyonnaise restaurants, serving local food. However, the Chez Moss has made its name in concentrating on seafood, mussels, clams. Quality still is okay, seating is very tight and prices have gone up with the years, more than the quality of the seafood.
If you like seafood dishes, it still is a quite good address, but the interior has seen better times and I think it meanwhile a bit overpriced.

Found this little gem in lyon.
Managed to get us a table at short notice.
Excellent seafood platter as a starter.
With amazing scallops as a main.
Then to finish a selection of deserts.
Also to cap off the night a Japanese pearl as a gift.
Truly great staff and management.
Would definitely recommend this to anyone 10 out 10.

The food was excellent. The front of house was comical if not frustrating. The two younger staff were attentive and worked hard. The older lady and older gent were at best wayward. People were arriving to be told it was fully booked when the restaurant was half full or they sat down only to leave 20 mins later before being served. It could have been due to a back log in the kitchen but it doesn't explain us having four different servers. Basics. One server own the table? Given average bill is 60 euro a head would expect better. We had time so 2.5 hours for service was ok but others clearly frustrated. They could have easily turned another 30 tables tonight - again the food was excellent. Frustrating. Consider hiring a front of house manager to coach and support the younger staff.
