This was presumably a traditional French café/brasserie until a modern makeover, and it remains a very welcome hostelry just off the main rue de la République. We were greeted warmly and served efficiently; and we enjoyed generous portions of brasserie-style food, together with a ‘pot’ of local wine – and all very reasonably priced. Only a few minutes’ walk from the Hotel Carlton, this is a good choice for lunch, or just a drink.
